MANDALUYONG CITY - The Philippine Center for Print Excellence Foundation, Inc. (PCPEF), a non-stock, non-profit association which is composed of printing industry professionals, business owners and allied service providers, granted Dr. Adora S. Pili, President, Technological University of the Philippines (TUP) honorary membership to its association during the 1st General Membership Meeting and PCPEF Members Induction Night last March 23, 2017 at the Shangri-La Place, Internal Road Brg. Wack-Wack, Mandaluyong City. The Certificate of Honorary Membership was presented by Mr. Rolando F. Rocha, President, PCPEF and Mr. Samuel B. Uy, Chairman, Committee for Membership. Dr. Pili along with another inducted honorary member, Dr. Joy Josette. L. Lachica, Division Chief, Service Division, Board of Investments pledged to promote the continuing development of the printing industry in the country through their active and valuable participation in all of the association's activities.

PCPEF and TUP's partnership beefed up when the Tomas Pinpin Graphic Arts building in TUP was completed and inaugurated through the assistance of the association on October 9, 2012. It housed PCPEF's donations of new laboratoy materials applicable to modern printing technologies and audio visual equipment. This initiative was aimed to improve TUP's three-year Graphic Arts and Printing course, which is the only comprehensive program geared toward the printing industry in the country. This PCPEF-TUP venture had already resulted to hundreds of graphic arts students obtaining scholarships andhands-on experience with up-todate printing machineries.

The collaboration between TUP and PCPEF has remained steadfast most particularly in the effort of raising the level of professionalism in the printing industry. Nonetheless, with TUP President Pili's inclusion into the association, it would certainly intensify the cooperation and knowledge-sharing opportunities between the industry printing professionals and the institution's printing experts and learners.
