Earthquake felt at TUP Manila

An earthquake disrupted the face to face classes and office works around 1 pm last December 7, 2022 at the Technological University of the Philippines. Students, faculties and employees proceed to the open ground of the centennial stage in following emergency protocol of the university.

Relevant authorities and offices like the Office of Student Affairs, Medical and Dental Clinic and Security offices were in front of the Centennial Stage in monitoring and advising the students, faculties and other stakeholders in implementing procedures and policies during an emergency situation.

The Security Office checks for cracks and damages that could have compromised the integrity of the structures of the university.  Before 2pm the people in the open ground resumed their work and classes for the rest of the day.

The Philippine News Agency reported a 5.3 magnitude that came from Camarines Norte was the epicenter of the earthquake ( Magnitude 5.3 quake jolts Camarines Norte | Philippine News Agency (pna.gov.ph)).
