On January 23 and 24, 2019, we visited the TUP Extension Campus in the beautiful town of Lopez, Quezon. We were hosted by Mayor Rachel Ubana, and later also by her husband Dr. Sonny Ubana, also a Member of a Board Member of the province of Quezon. The Lopez Campus has about 300 aspiring young people as students, mostly wearing the TUP t-shirt as their uniform.
Before lunch we signed a Memorandum of Agreement extending the cooperation between the Municipality of Lopez and the TUP for the joint management of the Campus. Later we went on a visit to the Campus itself. I was informed by Mayor Ubana that they are currently looking for a lot where the Campus will be relocated since the present lot where it stands is being shared with the TESDA and quite small.
We will put 20 computer units in the Campus. At dinner, I requested Board Member Sonny Ubana and Mayor Ubana to consider the putting up of some space for the laboratory equipment we will buy for the Campus in the next few years.
Let us help these young Grayhawks.
