TUP Batangas

On November 29, 2018 we visited the TUP in Batangas, situated in the town of Cuenca. The campus is a quiet place with few but lively students. I have instructed the key officials of the University to include in the plans for 2020 the construction of a 3-storey classroom and office building in the Campus, as well as a basketball court. The arch at the gate should also be beautified.

There is one significant item I found in the Campus. It is a painting of myself. It is significant not because I am the subject of the painting but because it was painted by a student. I was informed that two of his paintings are exhibited in the National Museum, and one day I will go there and look at them. The painting was done in scrap plywood, not even in canvass, but the artistry is excellent, showing the skills of the artist. His name is Ray Maralit.

There was a workshop with topics on leadership. I took the occasion to give some lecture.

The campus can be a big garden.
