VP Marquez Graduates from CESB Executive Leadership Program

Marquez Jr., VP for Planning, Development and Information System, TUP joined the graduating career executive officers and eligibles from the CESB sponsored Executive Leadership Program (ELP) during the 8th Annual CES National Conference sponsored by CESB, NUCESO and RANGE VI on November 10-12, 2009 at the Sarabia Hotel and Convention Center in Iloilo City.
The three day conference is one of the highlights of this year’s 36th CES anniversary. It gathers almost a thousand CESOs and CESEs nationwide to discuss common concerns, renewing ties and linkages, sharing and learning from best practice experiences, ideas and inspiring stories among the members of CES, and honoring the new CESO’s/ CESE’s, graduates of the ELP and winners of the 2009 GAWAD CES.
The Executive Leadership Program (ELP) is currently the basic training program for CESO’s / CESE’s and a basic training requirement for CESO ranking. It’s main objective is to develop, advance and nurture core management competencies which are relevant to their role as public managers. It aims to raise the level of competence of the members of the Career Executive Service (CES), develops in career executives a deeper sense of commitment to public service, and helps them understand the CES as a program of government, as a service, a culture and a way of life.
